Research Assistant

As a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois, I applied NLP, machine learning, and psycholinguistics to analyze large-scale health-related social media data. My work focused on extracting behavioral and linguistic insights to help bridge the gap between health informatics and human-centered design, enabling a deeper understanding of how individuals communicate health experiences online.

Applied NLP and ML to 10K+ health posts, enhancing behavioral insight accuracy and bridging human language with data-driven health research.

I conducted end-to-end data collection, cleaning, and annotation on thousands of posts, improving dataset relevance and integration with clinical variables. Through literature review and systematic framework development, I contributed to connecting health behavior theory with computational research - supporting the design of more inclusive and context-aware health analytics.
